Financial assistance is available through two venues: The Holy Family Scholarship Fund (grades K-8), and the Archdiocese of Detroit Tuition Assistance Fund (grades1-12). The Holy Family Scholarship Fund is open to every family that is a registered and contributing member of one of the five parishes connected to the school: St. Andrew, St. Irenaeus, St. Mary of the Hills, St. John Fisher, and Sacred Heart of the Hills. Every year, our five parishes donate $265.00 per child of registered members to our Holy Family Scholarship Fund for the purpose of extending need-based tuition grants to families. Last year with the support of our five parishes almost $300,000 was given in grants.
Only one application form is necessary to apply for both scholarship opportunities. The filing fee this year is $21.00. An independent agency, PSAS, will review the forms, attribute a formula to the parents’ financial information and then make a recommendation as to which families should receive grants. Please note the Archdiocese program does not attribute any weight to the “special circumstances” comment section. Holy Family will take this information into account, so please submit pertinent information. Likewise, Holy Family will consider Kindergarten students eligible for grants, even though the Archdiocese does not.
Applications for Holy Family grants must be filed by February 28, 2010, to be considered in the first round, (i.e. in-time for the first tuition payment).
Applications must be mailed to:
